GREATER FIRST COLONY

EVENTS

The Greater First Colony community is made up of many special people volunteering their time to organize events all year long.  We have all the information you need from documenting our previous events.  Everything is paid by the association making the process as stress free as possible.  As the coordinator for many of these events, your task is to setup a free sign-up page for lots of other volunteers to do most all of the work. Post it on our Facebook page in advance, and you can get as much help as you would like.  VOLUNTEER and find out how much fun working with your neighbors can be. Monitor our Facebook Page to find out what is going on. Check often as lots happens around the 'hood".

What, When and Where

The Association sponsors events and activities for its members throughout the year and volunteers coordinate many others on their own.  All paid members are invited to attend and non-members typically have ways to attend.  Guests of members may attend for a fee. Most events are held on Sunday or Saturday closest to the holiday.

Volunteers are needed for each holiday event to simply organize the event. Over the many years of holding fantastic events the Association has all the details you need to setup, use Signup Genius to get volunteers to do most all the work for the event and most events expenses are covered by the Association. If you want to organize an event, contact the Business Manager Amy Day | 757-258-0914. If you want to help out the organizer and lend a hand, follow our Facebook page to learn where and how to signup to make a difference.
