Garden Club

The Greater First Colony Garden Club brings together neighbors who share a love of gardening and the outdoors. We’re passionate about caring for native plants, trees, birds, and wildflowers, while helping keep our community beautiful. Members enjoy swapping ideas, tips, and even plants, seeds, bulbs, and roots. We also support projects that promote environmentally friendly practices.

Throughout the year, we host fun and meaningful activities like service workshops, caring for the Memorial Garden, and our popular Yard of the Week in the spring. There’s also a June luncheon, fundraisers, guest speakers, and occasional field trips.

We meet from September through June, usually at 2:00 p.m. on the third Monday of each month at the Clubhouse. Membership is open to all Greater First Colony residents, and dues are $25 per year. For more information, reach out to our president, Melanie Davis, using the button below.

Mahjong Club

First Colony neighbors interested in playing mahjong are welcome to join the Greater First Colony Mahjong Group on Facebook.

As a group member you'll be able to schedule and sign up to play games.  All abilities welcome, most players are relatively new to the game.  We play using National Mahjong League cards.

Pickleball Club 

There are a couple active pickleball groups within the neighborhood.  The men's pickleball group is led by Roger Hunt.  The women's pickleball group is led by Ruth Larson.
